Two dusty Ford Mustang Shelby GT500s parked in a warehouse for 15 years worth a fortune. Sometimes looking through a warehouse is a blast.
A Florida classic car dealer recently found a pair of 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500s out in a warehouse where they were parked and left to gather dust 15 years ago. One is a standard Shelby GT500 with 102,000 miles on it, while the other is a rare GT500 KR that still has its factory 428 Cobra Jet V8 under the hood.
The Lime Gold fastback is loaded with power brakes, power steering, air conditioning and other features. It’s mostly all-original and well-preserved, but not in perfect shape. If it was, the Hagerty Price Guide indicates it would be worth over $200,000.
Classic Cars of Sarasota, the dealer, cleaned it up to get it running and says its mechanically sound and a prime candidate for full restoration. It’s now managing the sale of the car for its owner, and has it up for sale at $135,000, but is also having an Ebay auction through July 17 to test the market.
The GT500 has already been sold for an undisclosed amount. If only we know what the new owner paid for these Ford Mustang Shelby GT500s Parked In A Warehouse for 15 years? Maybe one day we will find out.Auto News, Blog
