Now available by The Motor Masters is a 1937 Buick Century for sale. One of the most beautiful cars to ever be on the road. It’s no secret, ’37 and ’38 Buicks are highly sought after. This one is an extremely rare (1 of only 846) and unique Century which gives it an even longer hood.
This Century’s sheetmetal is as it was in 1937, which only goes to show you that the original designers’ vision is pretty hard to beat. From the fine grille, to the fenders, to the trunk, this car looks great from any angle. Dressed in red, it certainly looks the part of a luxurious super sedan and the shiny finish on this car doesn’t disappoint. It was built to make cruising effortless while retaining all that is great about the late-30s styling, and even the sidemount tires were retained, a feature that is often eliminated or simply looks wrong on a resto-mod like this. Fortunately, the Century’s proportions are exactly right and they didn’t try to stuff wide modern radials into the fender wells. The paint shows quite well and there are only a few signs of being driven, and all the chrome was refinished when the car was built. Take a moment to enjoy the beautifully sculpted bumpers, the nicely integrated hood vents, and the simple strip of stainless that highlights the car’s profile. There’s not a single line out of place and no excessive trim.
The car’s drivetrain and interior have been updated while retaining the factory lines and styling that makes the car so beautiful. 455 big block Buick engine with a TH-400 trans and 12 bolt posi rear. Fatman independent front end with power disc brakes. Inside you will find white leather, custom gauges, and nice cold air conditioning. Viper red paint over an arrow straight, rust free, all steel body. There are far too many new parts to list.
