Now available by The Motor Masters is a 1955 Studebaker President for sale.

Model and Body Type is a 6H-C5 DUCAT V8 259.2 cu.in. 4.2L with 175 HP (engine # P 8705), 67,675 miles on the original motor and transmission.
It’s a 3 speed automatic, rear wheel drive
Suspension:
Front Section: Independent suspension with unequal length A arms and coil springs
Rear Section: Live axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs
Paint Number and color: 2644 Cascade-Sheridan (repainted to the factory specs in 2001)

Current owner purchased this vehicle for his father 3 years ago before he got sick and it’s been garage kept for that time. He has driven it around the block about once a week in the time that he’s had it just to keep everything moving. It has started right up every time And turned the key with no problem, however Is not a car buff and can’t speak intelligently as to its overall mechanical condition, other than it runs whenever you start it.

Current owner bought the vehicle from a lady in Idaho who’s grandson “borrowed” it and replaced the original wheels with Cragar American Mag wheels, and threw the originals away; so other than the interior floor carpeting (replaced in 2001 when the owner had it repainted to factory specs) and the wheels, everything else is original. Some things that I know are not working (all original):
radio
windshield wiper switch is missing
the roof upholstery has sags in it
both door weather gaskets are dried out and cracked/sagging in some spots
the other thing the grandson did was powder coat the air cleaner and the V-covers (it looks ok, but not a great job)

The current owner has the original shop manual and chassis parts catalogs, as well as the original owner’s paperwork from when they purchased it from Studebaker in January 1955.
He also has from the Studebaker National Museum, the Final Assembly Line production order for this vehicle.
Has Clean Title!!
